The End of The Winter Garden

A few more weeks left until everything gets uprooted.  I have already removed the cauliflower and broccoli plants.  We harvested our first beets today.  The carrots are soon on their way, poking their heads above ground.  Sweet peas are dangling everywhere.  Brussel sprouts are still yet to appear.  Here are some snapshots of the garden in now in early March, and then result of our beets today.

 

Apple Farm Park Fun

Just a morning spent with the girls up in Oak Glen and a park, now known as the "Apple Farm Park."

The morning ended sweetly with a hug from Syd and these words:

Mom, I am happy you are home!
