My Opposite Girls

Another year has passed and my camera has been monopolized by the challenge of taking weekly photos of my son.  Now that is behind me, it was refreshing to focus on my girls with a quick session.  It started as Syd wanting to take pictures to celebrate her 5th birthday.  Then I pulled Mel inside from the backyard, where she was gathering bugs (she just might be an entomologist someday).  A change of clothes and she was ready for the camera.

Everyone tells us how similar my girls look and yet how opposite they are.  I really don't know how to explain genetics in our family... our two girls are complete opposites while our boy is a perfect blend.  All I know is that I adore the pictures of my girls together...

Attack of the Snails

I am so glad these slimy creatures have not yet made their way into our house (or at least none that I know of).  The girls have discovered a new past time in snail hunting.  At first, neither would touch them, but then brave Mel ventured off to do so, and then Syd figured out how to pick them up by their shells.  The snails go for rides with them, tucked inside the baskets of their tricycles.  Or the snails are transferred from the neighbor's yard to ours, thanks to Syd's neighbor friend and a fence that allows little hands to exchange "goods."  I guess it could be worse, right?!

Too Much Fun

Just got back from a 2 day trip to Long Beach Aquarium and Disneyland.  The girls had a great time, touching sharks, feeding birds, watching strange looking fish, and then having lunch with the Disney Princesses.  More pictures coming soon...

{The R Sisters} Child Portraits

I just got home from delivering these to their mom, so now I want to show them off to everyone else.  These sisters are too cute.  I am in love with Miss R's long beautiful hair, and apparently my 2 year old is too (she saw me editing the pictures and she thought it was a picture of herself!).  Hope you love the pictures, Tracee!

Santa & Christmas Dresses

Last weekend we visited Santa at our local favorite baby boutique, Kissui Baby & Children. All was well until Mel needed to sit with Santa. She would not even say "hello." All her pictures with Santa feature tears, screams, and fright.

Afterwards, I took the girls on a short stroll thru downtown Redlands to get some pictures of them in their Christmas dresses...
