Bath Fizzies Project

In honor of my girls now being "in love" with bath fizzy bombs (thanks to my husband), I decided to stock up on some by making them myself.   Here are some of the essential ingredients and utensils from my first batch:

The dry mix:

The wet ingredients added to the dry mix:
And the light yellow, iridescent, pear berry scented bath fizzie cookies, as they appeared when they were first scooped:

The batch dried and hardened overnight, but the cookies flattened too much because they started out too moist.

The girls tried them out today and Syd just loved the sparkles that floated around in the bathtub.  But the cookies dissolved rather quickly, likely because of their shape.
With hopes to get closer to a perfect batch of bath fizzies, I spent this afternoon working with a new recipe, which I also modified a bit.  So far, I have a batch of 19 light green tropical scented bath bon bons with a bit of almond oil and sugar crystals mixed within, and topped with a few colored Jimmies.  They need to dry overnight, but I might just sneak one into the bath tub tonight to try it out.
