Almost a whole year has gone by since I really started challenging myself to become a photographer. Mistakes were made along the way, but the amount I have learned far out-weighs the things I would do over, if I could. I have loved the opportunities of photographing my friends, their beautiful kids, and my own family. I have appreciated all the "critique" from one of my most admired photographer friends, Marie. She has been so patient with me and so inspiring. I have made new friends along the way, and have had some friendships strengthened because of a mutual love of being a mother-photographer. This is a hobby, a passion, and something that continuously challenges me to be more and more creative.
It was nearly a year ago that my best friend, Brandy, became my first official "maternity client." We spent hours and hours together documenting her first pregnancy. I decided that it is time to finally post some of my favorites from all those sessions. Hard to believe it's been only a year....

Oh Michelle! You did a fabulous job with her maternity pictures. I love all of your ideas I have so many favorites. I love the mural on the wall of the truck (lol too cute) the umbrella with water great idea and then I think it is in a Post office! They are all super cute. Great job girly.
